"Unsigned PDF" or "Simple PDF" mode is the same as the "Audit Trail" mode that is one of the methods of processing invoices in tax e-invoicing recognised by the regulations. The PDF image of the invoice is unsigned and uncertified, unlike the "signed PDF" mode.
In this mode, you need to put in place documented checks within your internal organisation and information system (IS) to establish a reliable audit trail between the invoice and the delivery of goods or service to guarantee the authenticity of the origin of the invoices, the integrity of their contents as well as their legibility.
For example, documented checks consist of reconciling the invoice with certain documents, such as purchase orders, shipping documents, payment receipts, etc.
Note that in "Unsigned PDF" mode, you are responsible for archiving your digital invoices.
